down with 6 tests in 4 days!
monday: Geog Elec and Emaths. Geog was horrible! i can't do map-reading and i don't know what features and what examples to write.
tuesday: Chem and Amaths. both were okay, but i couldn't remember why grafite was a dry lubricant(soft and slippery, layers that slide over each other). i think i lost 8marks in Amaths for q3 and last q because i really couldn't think of a method to solve it. i don't really get alpha/beta and the remainder/factor theorem but i don't know what i don't know! that's bad.
wednesday: physics.
thursday: eng vocab test(:

now that we know SYF's on 12 April, 1130am, we are going to have more band practices on saturday! i don't know the reason but i'm looking forward to band practices alot. i can't wait to have band prac! must be getting hyped up or some similar reason. hmm?
shall talk about the past band pracs that were different.
band adjudication(12 mar, chrissy and rebecca's b'day) was a let down on our part i guess. Ms Sia rewarded us with a bronze standard. take it as a learning point that we must take things seriously because the day is coming nearer and we know that we are still not up to her standard. in contrast, TKGS's toccata and fugue in d minor was fantastic and Ms Sia must be proud of them.
mentorship with Mr Adams last thurs(15 mar) was good. i think that he conducts in a different style and gives a fresh feel to the music. we don't know what to expect and don't know what he expects from us so it makes us(or maybe just me?)play more carefully. we play with our old habits and when he sees them he corrects us. he's great, but he shld stay longer! haha.
Yuhua band exchange(17 mar) with Hai Sing, River Valley, Nanyang, Yuhua, TKGS and us. 5 Gold(some with honours) bands and 1 Silver band. what can i say? Yuhua was a joy to watch and Nanyang's Night Safari was a dramatic change as compared to Sunrise. how can secondary schools sound so good? people tell me that Mr Ong and Ms Sia have faith in us that we can get the Gold. will we ever shine like they do?
yesterday, Mr Leslie came! it's funny how we use to dread him coming and now we are cheering when we see him. when we go for his peachy saxophone quartet performance on monday, we'll get to hear some good stuff.

on monday after band i was walking to the macpherson busstop with cathlin. mr khoo was behind us and we didn't know till we reach the busstop. i have never seen him there before so i looked surprised and he walked over saying, "why do you look so shocked to see me eh?" i naturally replied, "you don't usually walk here what!" at that point, i was worrying about the Amaths test the next day and so i started asking him maths questions. oh man, who wld ask a teacher she didn't talk to since sch ended last year about maths qns eh! worse still, i didn't have time to digest his answer because my bus came! haiyo.
tday during chem i was nodding off to sleep while mr ang was talking about alkalines and bases. words were just floating on my notes, i was writing eligible words and my eyes just kept closing. it wasn't the lesson was boring or anything as such but sleeping past 10-11 out of habit just have its demerits. i have been sleeping in class since sec 1. ahahha i know it's bad. i'm trying to snap out of it but i don't know how to stop! slap or poke me if you may.
back to the chem lesson. well, mr ang suddenly said, "class, i know its the end of the week and you're are very tired. but this is the last day so put in abit more energy(or somewhat along that line)!" it gave me a jolt and i woke up. i resumed work and had a question and mr ang came over. he looked at my paper and suddenly went "ay?" and pointed to the bottom of the page. i realised that i wrote '
