i think i should blog more often! or else there will be so little things to read when i feel bored.
reading those old posts of mine sometimes irk me as theyy r usuallyy tyyped wif doubble letteers n d sentencess incclude 'lah', 'ok lah huh', 'woooooohoooooo!!!!!!!!' and 'cyaa' this kind of thing which makes it very hard to comprehend to huever hu readss it lah huh! hahahaha. though i have a big urge to retype and rephrase everything, i guess all these shows how i think and where my standard was last time, so i do not think i will be changing anything.

hmm. last week was national day- singapore's 41st birthday. our first time playing in the band for the school! i remember last year, when my hopes were kinda dashed when they announced after a few weeks of practice that the sec1s wld not be playing for the celebrations. come to think about it, being with the school in the mph, with the class and close knit of friends, the indoor celebrations gave us a chance to be patriotic, to really feel a love for singapore for once every year and to sing our hearts/lungs out for her. i remember standing up, swinging our hands held together or our arms slung over our shoulders, swaying and singing to the music, feeling united for the moment, that we wld do our best for singapore!
but it's quite fragile, don't you think? once out of the fevour of the atmosphere, back to our mundane lives we are(i've been waiting to use that sentence!), back to moving aimlessly through the days, weeks, months, without purpose. aren't most of us like this?

there is also one particular TAG in which i was quite stumped- why did God allow me to be born in Singapore, with a whole family, with a roof over my head, with education and more that people in other places lack? what is His BIG plan for our country, why am i here, what can i do?
familiar TAG? hahaha.
i think the questions i have are why i am here, who i missed the chance to help, what difference i cld had made if only i did not hesistate, if only i had listened, anything.
i still am trying to work on the purpose God set for us, i think.

back to national day. sat in the gallery with madeline, xinlin, yethong, joanne and jiaqi. we received glowsticks! how i love the creamy(..?), fluorescent lights that makes our black uniforms look so contrasting and smart!
after celebrations, we went out with the tun fatimah pupils to Asian Civilisation Museum(i think that's the name), Clark Quey Boat Ride and Orchard Road to shop. madeline and i met our 2 friends- piya and nuree! they were still as friendly and cheerful as before, and they introduced us to the rest of the saxophonists. i was with yethong, madeline, yingying, lichu, wanning and gillian for a fair part of the trip. we took pictures of almost everything :)
sadly, i sacrificed the badminton trip with 'our gang' of xinlin, inez, yicen, michelle, charlotte and magesh and also, the invited unknown(to me) g and m :(

aye! watched Pirates of the Carribean-Dead Man's Chest with xinlin, yethong and vanessa on 7th August at Plaza Singapura! sneaked in burger king and ate lunch while sea creatures crawled, pirates attacked and tribal people hooed and haaed while burning and dancing around a liar god. the movie wasn't as fast moving and ended with a cliff-hanger, but the animations, music and 'piratey ways' were amusing and unique. overall, a good movie.
then me and xinlin took neoprints for the first time with yethong and vanessa and became pirates, daoers, monkeys and a 'family' for the fun and rushed moment. when the next movie comes out, we must go again, savvy? aye! hahaha

likewise as jack sparrow said while searching for davy jones' heart, where is your thump-thump?
